We offer different vaccinations here at the surgery. These vaccines are listed below with the eligibility criteria. If you would like a vaccine please contact reception to book your appointment.
Shingles Vaccine
Shingles is a common condition that causes a painful rash. It can sometimes lead to serious problems such as long-lasting pain, hearing loss or blindness.
You’re more likely to get shingles, and it’s more likely to cause serious problems, as you get older or if you have a severely weakened immune system. The shingles vaccine helps protect against shingles.
The shingles vaccine is recommended for:
- All adults turning 65,
- Those aged 70 to 79
- Those aged 50 and over with a severely weakened immune system

RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) Vaccine
The RSV vaccine helps protect against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), a common virus that can make babies and older adults seriously ill.
The RSV vaccine is recommended if:
- you’re pregnant – the vaccine is recommended during every pregnancy (from 28 weeks onwards) to help protect your baby after they’re born
- you’re aged 75 to 79

Pneumococcal Vaccine
The pneumococcal vaccine helps protect against some types of bacterial infections that can cause serious illnesses like:
- meningitis (an infection in the brain and spinal cord)
- sepsis (a life-threatening reaction to an infection)
- pneumonia (an infection in the lungs)
It can also help protect against other illnesses such as sinusitis and ear infections.
The Pneumococcal Vaccine recommended for:
- Babies – 1st dose at 12 weeks and a booster dose at 1 year
- People ages 65 and over
- Children and adults at higher risk of getting seriously ill

Flu Vaccine
The flu vaccine helps protect against flu, which can be a serious or life-threatening illness. It’s offered on the NHS every year in autumn or early winter.

You can get the free NHS flu vaccine if you:
- are aged 65 or over
- have certain long-term health conditions
- are pregnant
- live in a care home
- are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer’s allowance
- live with someone who has a weakened immune system
Frontline health and social care workers can also get a flu vaccine through their employer.

COVID-19 Vaccine
The COVID-19 vaccine helps protect against COVID-19, which can be a serious or life-threatening illness for some people. It’s usually offered on the NHS in spring and early winter.
COVID-19 vaccination is an important part of protecting yourself if you’re at increased risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19.
The COVID-19 vaccines are offered because viruses change and protection fades over time. It’s important to top up your protection if you’re eligible.
You can get a COVID-19 vaccine if you:
- are aged 75 or over
- are aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment
- live in a care home for older adults
