Staff Announcement – Message from Dr Grant Ingrams

Dear Patients and Colleagues,

On behalf of Grant and Oakmeadow Surgery, please see the following statement from Grant regarding his departure from the practice.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Message from Dr Ingrams below:

To Patients and Colleagues,

After leading the team at Oakmeadow Surgery for the past decade I have taken the difficult decision to resign with effect from 30th November 2026.

Many of you will know that I was asked to move to take over the management of Oakmeadow Surgery in 2016 as the practice had various problems at the time and was at risk of closing. Together with my colleagues at Oakmeadow we managed to turn its fortunes around and this cumulated last year with after having a full and detailed inspection by the Care Quality Commission we were given a Good Rating in every area.

I have combined clinical work with informatics and healthcare management in my career. As well as being a registered medical professional I am also a registered technology professional. I have been lucky to receive many accolades during my career include a lifetime award and honorary fellowship of four different health organisations.

Many will also know that due to my own health problems (incurable brain cancer) I have been unable to provide clinical services to patients since March 2026.

I wish all the patients and staff at Oakmeadow Surgery all the best for the future.

Best wishes,

Grant
